  1. Go to your WordPress DashboardAppearanceMenus.
  2. Click on the Create a new menu link.
  3. Enter a Menu Name (e.g., Main Menu, Footer Menu).
  4. Click the Create Menu button.

📌 How to Add Items to the Menu

  1. After creating a menu, you will see options like Pages, Posts, Custom Links, Categories, Tags on the left side.
  2. Select the items you want to add:
    • Pages – Add pages like Home, About, Contact.
    • Posts – Add single blog posts.
    • Custom Links – Add any external/internal link.
    • Categories / Tags – Add blog categories or tags.
  3. Check the items and click Add to Menu.
  4. Drag & drop items to rearrange the menu order.
  5. To create a submenu (dropdown), drag an item slightly to the right under another menu item.

📌 How to Assign a Menu to a Location

Your theme may have multiple menu locations, such as:

  • Primary Menu (Header Navigation)
  • Mobile Menu
  • Footer Menu

To assign a menu:

  1. Scroll down to Menu Settings → Display location.
  2. Check the location (e.g., Primary Menu).
  3. Click Save Menu.

📌 How to Edit or Delete a Menu

  • To Edit a Menu:
    1. Go to Appearance → Menus.
    2. Select your menu from the dropdown.
    3. Add/remove/rearrange items as needed.
    4. Click Save Menu.
  • To Delete a Menu:
    1. Open the menu.
    2. Click Delete Menu at the bottom.

📌 Additional Menu Options

  • CSS Classes: You can enable additional menu item options by clicking Screen Options at the top → check CSS Classes.
  • Target Attribute: Add links that open in a new tab.
  • Mega Menu (if theme supports): Some themes have advanced mega menu features, configurable under menu item settings.
